Last updated: 13 August 2026. This policy explains what data tellmydoctor.app (“the site,” “the app”) collects and how it's handled. It's operated by Stuart, an independent developer, reachable at [email protected].

Your symptom data is stored only in your own browser's local storage. It is never sent to a server, because tellmydoctor.app doesn't have one to send it to. There are no accounts, no logins, no analytics, no cookies, and no third-party scripts loaded on any page of this site.

When you fill in patient details or log a symptom, that information is written directly to your browser's localStorage for this domain. It stays on your device - your phone, tablet, or computer - and is only ever read back by this same site, in this same browser, on this same device.

If you turn on passphrase protection, your data is encrypted on-device using AES-256 before it's written to local storage. The passphrase itself is never transmitted anywhere; it only ever exists in your browser's memory while the app is open.

Exported files (PDF, CSV, or JSON backup) are generated entirely in your browser and saved directly to your device - they don't pass through any server either. Note that exported backup files are plain, unencrypted data even if passphrase protection is enabled in the app, so store and share them carefully.

tellmydoctor.app does not use cookies, does not use analytics or telemetry of any kind, and does not track you across this site or any other. There is nothing here monitoring how you use the app.

As of this writing, tellmydoctor.app loads no third-party resources at all. Fonts and the PDF-export library are hosted directly on this site rather than fetched from an external CDN, so simply loading the page doesn't send a request - or your IP address - to any outside service.

If that ever changes (for example, if advertising is added to support the site), this policy will be updated first to name the service, explain what data it collects, and link to its own privacy policy, and the “last updated” date above will change accordingly.

Because everything lives in your browser, you are always in full control of it. You can export a backup at any time from the Data section of the app, and you can permanently delete all stored data by clearing your browser's site data for tellmydoctor.app, or by using the in-app delete/reset option. Nobody else needs to be asked, and nobody else can do it for you - there's no account to request deletion from.

tellmydoctor.app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect personal information at all - everything stays on-device as described above.

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Since there are no accounts or emails collected, we can't notify you directly - check back here if you want to stay current.

If anything here is unclear, or you have a privacy question not covered above, email [email protected].
